Titanium Grade 2 is a commercially pure (unalloyed) titanium that offers an excellent balance of strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance. Slightly stronger than Grade 1 while maintaining outstanding formability and weldability, it is ideal for industries requiring lightweight, corrosion resistant materials. It performs reliably in oxidizing and mildly reducing environments, making it a versatile and cost effective solution for chemical processing, marine applications, aerospace, medical systems, desalination plants, power generation, and pharmaceutical equipment.

Titanium Grade 2 consists primarily of titanium as the balance element, with minor concentrations of hydrogen (≤0.015%), iron (≤0.30%), oxygen (≤0.25%), carbon (≤0.08%), and nitrogen (≤0.03%). Mechanically, annealed tubing exhibits a tensile strength of 70 ksi (483 MPa) and yield strength of 50 ksi (345 MPa) with 30% elongation, while cold-drawn tubing achieves 90 ksi (620 MPa) tensile strength and 70 ksi (483 MPa) yield strength with 18% elongation. This combination of mechanical performance and ductility allows Titanium Grade 2 to be fabricated into pipes, tubes, sheets, plates, bars, and custom components for demanding industrial environments.
